Brief Answer:
More likely essential tremor.

Detailed Answer:
Hello and thanks for using HCM.

I have read your question and understand your concerns.

Two are most probable conditions that may cause your symptoms:

1. Essential tremor

2. Parkinson's disease

In my opinion, since there is long time and slow progression with no other symptoms such trouble walking, mimic changes etc.
essential tremor should be the right diagnosis.

To differentiate these two conditions is important to know if the shaking is worsen with movement or no, is aggravated by stress, fatigue etc.

Parkinson's disease tremor or shaking is worse while hands rest on your lap, instead, essential tremor is worsening with movement.

Worsening of shaking by stress, fatigue, caffeine use, is an element in favor to essential tremor too.

However, neurologic examination is the main tool to achieve a correct diagnosis, so I suggest you to consult with a Neurologist.

Essential tremor is not a dangerous condition and usually is linked to genetic predisposition.

Hope you found the answer helpful.

Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care.

Brief Answer:
Different drugs may be used.

Detailed Answer:
Welcome back.

Treatment possibilities about essential tremor include Betablocker drugs, antiseizure drugss, or antidepressives.

Botox injections also are reported to help in improving symptoms.

The choice of the drug should be discussed with your primary care Doctor, since these are prescription drugs, and interaction with the drugs you are currently taking should be avoided.

Hope I helped you.

Wishing you good health.
