Suggest Treatment For Epididymitis
Question: Does masturbation hurt or help epididymitis caused by congestion and not infection? FYI due to some foolish sexual practices (semen retention + masturbation without orgasm), I started experiencing epididymal pain. The urologist heard my testimony, requested a urine analysis and an ultrasound and eventually diagnosed it as a epididymitis caused by trauma. He told me to relieve myself several times and gave me a prescription of Naproxen. I relieved myself as he instructed and noticed an immediate decrease in pain. The other day, I masturbated and while there was no pain during, I noticed an increase in epididymal pain and inflammation afterwards. So now I'm wondering what effect the act has on a healing epididymis.

Thanks for query,based on the facts that you have posted it seems that you have infection of the Epididymis .
I shall be happy if you can post reports of your routine urine analysis and Ultrasound scanning of scrotum to help me in making comments on your problem.
The pain in epididymis is due to congestion in addition to bacterial infection,
Masturbation will relieve pain due to stagnation of epididymis with semen however you need to take antibiotic and anti inflammatory medications to combat bacteria infection,
Please get your urine culture and semen culture done to find out organisms causing this infection and antibiotics to which they are sensitive to so that infection can be controlled by taking appropriate antibiotic.
In the mean while start taking antibiotic like Augmentin along with anti inflammatory medication like Diclofenac twice daily.Later on switch on to appropriate antibiotic as per culture reports.
Avoid excessive masturbation ,
