Question: I have a small hernia that currently does not need attention. However, in the last few weeks, I have had a sensation about 3-4 times a day of wetting my pants...and it is also a cold sensation. I do not nor have not had an incontinent issue. What is the reason for this?

Brief Answer:
Could be due to Enlarged Prostate needs to be ruled out by investigations .

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for your query, based on the facts that you have posted it appears that you are known to have Inguinal Hernia and has recently passed urine involuntarily .

I shall be happy if you can post me few more details to help me in making comments on your problem.
1) Do you have obstructive voiding symptoms like frequency, urgency, nocturia etc suggestive of Enlarged Prostate which is very common at this age ?

Though you claim your hernia to be small and symptomless at present should not be neglected as it is most likely to be secondary to Enlarged Prostate which needs to be investigated

Consult qualified Urologist for clinical and digital rectal examination and get following basic tests done to confirm the diagnosis.
1) Urine routine and culture.
2) Ultrasound scanning of abdomen and pelvis with specific mention of Post Void Residual urine (PVR)
3) Serum PSA.

In the mean while start taking Tomsulosin and Darifenacin once daily till you complete the investigations .

Further treatment will depend upon result of these tests and final diagnosis.

Hope I have answered your query ,please feel free to ask if you have more questions ,I shall be happy to help you
Thanks and Regards.
