Question: All of my circumvallate papillae are enlarged, a couple bigger than others. I have been on many rounds of antibiotics for prostatitis. Could this be the cause?

Brief Answer:
Enlarged papillae should not be considered as major problem.

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Welcome
I have gone through your query.
If possible kindly upload the photos for better assessment.
Enlarged papillae should not be considered as major problem. They are normal & some cases chief causes can be:-
- excessive smoking
- medical conditions like gastro oesophageal reflux disorder
- infection
- traumatic bite or sharp tooth
- in response to excessive hot & spicy food stuff.

You need to rule out the cause & treat it accordingly.
Try to maintain proper oral hygiene.

This provisional advice provided by me is based entirely on the input provided to me. I would suggest examination by the doctor.

I hope this suggestion might be of some help to you.
Take care.

An examination by a dentist is required to find out the type of infection and appropriate treatment.
