Suggest Treatment For Enlarged Lymph Node Near Kidney While Having Ovarian Cancer

default
Posted on Fri, 22 Jan 2016
Question: A little history, I have been diagnosed with ovarian cancer and have been receiving chemotherapy. My doctor told me that a lymph node near my kidney is swollen. I am now experiencing extreme pain that has gotten worse over the last three weeks to the point that I am taking my Oxycontin and Oxycodone to try and get relief with no avail. My abdomen is swollen and hurts to the touch. I have an appointment with a Urologist on the 12th but i was wandering if there is anything i can do for relief or if waiting until my appointment is a bad idea and i should seek immediate help.

Pain in the renal region can be due to compression by the enlarged lymph node, or can be due to infection.
This is anurgent situation and you should consult your doctor immediately to see if urgent decompression or antibiotics are required.
