Suggest Treatment For Enlarged Liver
Question: My liver report says enlarged by 4cms below RCM. What does it mean in terms of degree of fatty liver. How it can be cured?

Your report is showing that you are having enlarged liver. It can be fatty liver but mild grade.
Fatty liver is reversible condition. First find out the cause of fatty liver. Fatty liver can be cause by heavy alcohol drinking, some medicines, fat rich diet, infection, malaria etc.
Is it associated with spleenomegaly?
You can reduce its size by
1. Stop alcohol intake, If you are taking.
2. Stop medicine intake which is causing it.
3. take protein rich diet, avoid oily spicy food. which is rich in fat.
4. Go for some basic investigations like CBC, malaria, LFT, lipid profile, thyroid profile, whole abdomen USG.
As 4 cm below RCM is not very large, its just milder form of hepatomegaly, it can be cured easily. Only thing important is to find out the cause of hepatmegaly.
