Suggest Treatment For Emotional Distress And Low Libido In Menopause State

Posted on Thu, 9 Oct 2014
Question: I received the BioTe hormone pellets 5 weeks ago.. I have had zero hot flashes (but had them very seldom before). My breasts now go thru periods of tenderness as they used to before my period (when I used to have periods... I'm 56) but other than that I feel no difference. No improved emotions, libido, energy, mental clarity, etc. I had another blood workup after a month and my estrogen and testosterone levels have improved.

Is it possible I just haven't given it enough time .. or do some women just not get the benefits they hope for?

Detailed Answer:
Hello mam, thanks for trusting health care magic.
It takes around 2-3 months to have effects and at rimes 6 months even.
The first symptom to improve is sleepless nights and last is emotional distress.
The tenderness in breasts is a normal thing so nothing to worry and as your other hormones are responding well so you will respond very well.
Till then keep drinking lots of water and avoid stress at home and workplace.
All the best.

Detailed Answer:
Breast tenderness will be gone in a few weeks but in case very bothersome then take tablet lasix 20 mg daily in morning for 3 days.
Keep your salt intake restricted and drink lots of water.
This tablet will cause increased urination but nothing to worry.
I hope you will be relieved of your symptoms soon.

I tried to find Lasix tablets in CVS and Walgreens but couldn't find them. Is this a prescription drug and, if not, is there a name brand I should be asking for?

furosemide

Name of the drug is furosemide and lasix is the brand name and commonly known as water pill but you can take same drug in different brands.
