Brief Answer:
Usually a transit finding, recheck in 3 month

Detailed Answer:
Hi there,

Unfortunately, it's only a small snapshot of what is going on in your body so I would not be concerned at all. I would recommend getting your blood work and urine screened again in about 3-4 months. Both elevations are most likely transit and will go away next time you check them.

Let me know if you have additional questions.

Thanks. In looking on internet, that was what I was thinking. My Doctor did not seem too concerned either, but wanted a second thought.

Brief Answer:
Usually transient* finding

Detailed Answer:
Hi there,

Dehydration, stress, exercise, elevated blood pressure, diabetes, and some medications can cause both of these lab values to be elevated also. So drink more water, continue to exercise, eat a healthy balance of fruits and vegetables, control your stress, blood pressure, and other medical conditions, and get rechecked in 3 months.

Your doctor should also be following your creatinine and BUN levels, which is a measure of kidney function. If your creatinine or BUN increases with protein in your urine, then you will need to be worked up for kidney disease. However, I suspect this a temporary finding and will resolve with your next check up.

Let me know if you have additional questions.
