yes I meant CPR. I was nt getting odf attach iption. I have named the file as name.jpg please download this and vhange extension to pdf. also password for pdf file is BATRA. I just know she takes two meds only now one for bp and other for thyroid. she never had diabetes or sugar. only thing she had was high bp due to family issues. she first was diagonosed with high bp in 1995 after her bro's death. for 5 yrs she was on meds. then again in 2007 she was diagonosed with bp and since then she is taking meds. her cholesterol was 260 smthg 2 years back when she took lipikind. 2 months back her cholesterol was 220 and she started changing her lifestyle. it has reduced now. her diet habbits are vegetarian and that too simple homely food. Sir I am really concerned abt the CPR level with the warning mentioned in the report. please suggest if ineed to get her admitted tmrw. :(

Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXXXXX

Noted the history and got the reports. Her thyroid function test shows that she is having Hyperthyroidism. Was the blood reports similar to this when checked last time? What medicine is she on ?
Hyperthyroidism itself can cause altered liver function abnormalities.

Her CRP is > 10. This is either due to an infection or an inflammation. Liver function test shows high liver enzymes. ( but dont panic, this is not so high)

All this could be part of hyperthyroidism itself. It is very important for us to know her earlier thyroid report and the type o thyroid medication she is taking now.

She should immedietly stop the cholesterol medicine as the liver function test is high.

She need an ultrasound scan of the liver and biliary tree.

Dont worry, you can take her to an endcrinologist or a phsyician tomorrow morning. An endocrinologist would be better.
Hyperthyroidism itself can cause all this problem. I hope you will give me the details of her earlier thyroid blood tests and medicine details

regards
Binu

Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXXXXX

I was going through your question again in health care magic. I also got a blood report of your mother done in February 2014 from an old question asked in feb 2014.

I compared the blood reports done in February and XXXXXXX Now i got a complete picture of what is going on . Please ignore my previous answers.

In February, the TSH was 5.62 with a normal Free T4 ( this means she has subclinical hypothyroidism). I am sure that some doctor would have put her on to thyroid medicines ( either Eltroxin or Thyronorm ).

The current TSH is low ( 0.014 ) and Free T4 is elevated ( 2.04). This is because of the thyroid tablet she is taking. Stop it please. We can retest TSH after 2 months of stopping thyroid medicines.

I noted that she had abnormal liver function tests ( raised ALT, AST and GGT) back in February also. In fact, the blood test done in XXXXXXX shows mild improvement. The report shows that liver enzymes are elevated, but they are stable since february.

I presume she may have Fatty liver with XXXXXXX ( non alcoholic steato hepatitis) which is common in obese patients. This can cause this kind of liver function abnormalities. . She defenitly need an ultrasound of liver and Hepatitis B and C tests ( HbSag and anti HCV) . What is her height and weight ?

Now that i have seen her old thyroid reports, you dont have to see an endocrinologist. just Stop the thyroid tablet and recheck TSH and Free T4 after 2 months.

Hope you will take her to a physician for an ultrasound scan and hepatitis blood tests ( HbsAg and anti HCV).

One advice: When you ask questions, please try to give a detailed history and her medicines etc. It is very important for us to come to a conclusion.

If you are satisfied, you may close the discussion now. I wish your mother a speedy recovery.

Regards
Binu

Brief Answer:
Hi

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Good day. Saw the ultrasound report. As I mentioned earlier, she has fatty liver. Raised liver enzymes with fatty liver is called XXXXXXX ( non alcoholic steato hepatitis). However, we need to rule out other causes like hepatitis. We shall wait for the hepatitis serology reports. She should reduce her weight and start doing exercise to improve fatty liver. Start on Omega 3 fatty acids ( fish oil capsules) , you can buy those in medical stores.

Regards
Binu
