Brief Answer:
Yes, it can be due to fatty liver disease with few other possibilities.

Detailed Answer:
Hi! Welcome to health care magic! Thanks for sharing your concerns. We will try to help you in best way possible.

Based on the history and reports you have shared, one of the clear and evident cause for raised liver enzymes in your case is non alcoholic fatty liver disease but if liver enzymes are slightly increased, that is, two or three times normal, you may also need to rule out viral serology for hepatitis B and C though, these will be remote possibilities considering the geographical area you are living, still it is better to rule out these potential causes of chronic liver disease. Moreover, if the growth they have seen, if they are sure of it is hemangioma on an ultrasound still if you need further reconfirmation, you can ask for triple phase CT abdomen and blood screens for alpha fetoprotien to rule out aggressive tumors. Hemangioma itself is benign and doesn't cause many troubles.

The diets you have mentioned here, will not only help you control diabetes but also will help you with fatty liver disease. Meanwhile limmit alcohol usage, to minimal and keep an.eye on liver enzymes every three months. If sugar readings still comes high than discuss with your doctor to be put on metformin, as that will also help with both diabetes and your other conditions as well as helps in controlling the weight.

Hoping you a great health. If you have any more questions, feel free to ask. Regards.

my 2012 mri said clinical indication mass. findings: small subtle edema in the left lobe of liver measuring 15 x 14 mm. corresponds to the site of CT abnormality. faint enhancement seen in this same area on the initial post contrast sequence. these findings are most likely an atypical hemangioma. this lesion was identified on ultrasound as well. recommend six month ultrasound to evaluate for stability in size

my question to you about these findings, could it not be an atypical hemangioma? I very itchy skin, bruise easily, and I have Factor 5 Leiden too.

Brief Answer:
It is a benign growth and only followup needed

Detailed Answer:
Hi! Thanks for sharing the details.

Hemangioma itself is an atypical growth but since it is benign and only risk being a potential bleeding site, apart from that only followup scans to monitor size is recommended .

If unchanged no surgical intervention is needed to avoid risk of bleeding.

For easy bruisability you can have coagulation profile at routine interval and correct it with Vitamin K or fresh frozen plasma in case of active bleeding .

The same goes for factor 5 Leiden, treated only when something comes up or regular monitoring to avoid thrombus formation in brain.

All in all, with all these complexities you can't afford to lose regular follow up and monitoring and treatment will base on the chain of events coming in the way.

Wishing you a healthy life ahead.

Regards.
