Brief Answer:
Polycythemia is well controlled, do not worry about high neutrophils

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query on HealthcareMagic.
The disease polycythemia is well controlled by appropriate medication and other management strategies.
Polycythemia is a myeloproliferative disorder characterised by increase in all cells in the bone marrow like red blood cells, white blood cells and platelets.
Thus, an elevated white blood cell count is expected.
There is no direct method to reduce the white blood cell count and neutrophils.
However, symptomatic management of the symptoms is done in such a situation.
Treatment of polycythemia will only correct the elevated levels of white blood cells and platelets.
Thus, it is important to stay symptom free.
As long as you can lead a symptom free life without much morbidity, the numbers do not matter.

Brief Answer:
Drugs and blood letting are the mainstay of treatment, no permanenet cure.

Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome again,
I am afraid, there is no current treatment for polycythemia besides drugs and blood letting.
The disease is a chronic one and there is no cure for the disease.
Only the progression can be prevented by drugs.
The complications of the disease like thrombosis, itching, high uric acid can be prevented by blood letting.
The disease has to be managed, it cannot be cured.

Thanks and take care
