Brief Answer:
EOSINOPHILIA , causes , and treatment .

Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXXX
Explain in detail:
Absolute eosinophil count is <50/uL.
Eosinophils express a specific chemoattractant receptor and respond to a specific chemokine, eotaxin.
Little is known about the role of eosinophils. Eosinophils are much longer lived than neutrophils and unlike neutrophils , tissue eosinophils can recirculate.
During most infections , eosinophils are not important .
However , in invasive helminthic infections such as hookworm, schistosomiasis , strogyloidiasis , toxocariasis , trichinosis, filariasis, echinococcosis and cysticercosis , the eosinophils plays a central role in the host defense.
Eosinophils are associated with bronchial asthma , cutaneous allergic reactions , other hypersensitivity states.
Normal count as you mentioned is 15-500 cells/uL
EOSINOIPHILIA IS THE PRESENCE OF > 500 EOSINOPHILS PER MICROLITER of blood and is common in many setting besides parasitic infections.
Common cause of eosinophilia is allergic reaction to drugs ( iodines, aspirin, sulfonamides, nitrofurantoin, penicillins and cephalosporins).
Allergies such as hay fever, asthma, eczema, serum sickness allergies vasculitis and pemphigus.
collagen vascular disease, allergic rhinitis, rheumatoid arthritis, mycosis many malignancies .
Diethylcarbamazine 1 mg / kg body weight initially , gradually increase dose 6 mg / kg body weight in tow or three divided dosage depending on the disease and condition of patient . But this is a blind treatment without the name of disease.
In your case it is 741 so may be due to any of above mentioned disease .
other causes are :Acute stressful condition & glucocorticoid therapy .
You can also take montelukast+fexofenadine for such cases with banocide( diethylcarbamazine) .
In my opinion consult a physician and get his opinion , that why eosinophils are high in your case.
Hope this will help you .
