Detailed Answer:
Hello dear,
Welcome to HCM.
I have read your query and understood your concern.

I will like to know the following details:
1) Are you diabetic?
2) what is your thyroid status?
3) Any aggravating factor for itchy bumps?

Steroids may be given for eczema if that is the diagnosis being made but not for folliculitis. They help in relieving the acute episodes.

I will also like to know :
1) are these itchy bumps comes and go or they are persistent ?
2) What is the color of lesions and site?

Also kindly upload the pics of the lesions so that i can help you to my best.

Kindly get back to me with the reply of above questions and pics.

stay healthy.

eczema /folliculitis and its management

Detailed Answer:
Hello friend,
I still cannot see your pic. Probably its not being uploaded.

As per details, in such patients , i prefer to give tablet fexofenadine in the morning and tablet levocetrizine in night time for itchy bumps.
As far as folliculitis is concerned as you told me, take a course of broad spectrum antibiotics like cephalosporins for a week. Alongwith apply mupirocin 2 % cream over the lesions as well as inside both nostrils and perineal area. Sometimes due to carriage of bacteria there, there is recurrent attack of folliculitis.
Keep the area clean and dry.
You may discuss my opinion with your treating dermatologist, i am sure he/she will agree with this.
If you have further query, you may ask me.
Stay healthy.
