Question: hi my name is XXXXXXX XXXX i am 64 years old i have red blood spots under the skin on both my for arms and havds i can just tap them AND IT WILL MAKE THE NASTIEST BLOOD SPOT UNDER THE SKIN WOKE UP THIS MORNING LOOKED LIKE I HAD SCRACTHED MY LEFT ARM ALL THE WAY UP MY ELBOW DOCTOR SAID TO TAKE IRON PILLS AND B12 PLLS BUT DIDNT HELP I DONT TAKE ASPRIN TAKE TYNOL 3 FOR ARTHRITUS LOOKS UGLY DOND KNOW WHAT TO DO PLEASE HELP THOUGHT ABOUT GOING TO A DERMATOLIGIST DOCTOR SAID THIN SKIN BUT THAT IS CRAZY ITS JUST FROM ELBOWS TO HANDS

I have gone through your complaints and according to me you most probably seem to be having ecchymotic patches due to thin skin.
It is very common in your age group.
You can take vitamin C tablets 1 gram once daily.
It can provide some relief.
In case they are very frequent go for coagulation studies to rule out any underlying problem.
