Brief Answer:
Eustachian tube block...

Detailed Answer:
Hi

Thanks for posting the query

After going through the description, I do feel, you could be having a blocked Eustachian tube with or without fluid inside the middle ear.

The combination of amoxicillin & clavulanic acid antibiotic should be taken for at least 7 days. Five days of antibiotic is not the complete course for middle ear infection.

Do not worry! With appropriate measures this can be taken care of. My suggestions to you are:
1. Drink plenty of warm water.
2. Do steam inhalation 2-3 times a day for at least 2 minutes. Steam helps in opening of the Eustachian tube block, thus relieving the block in the middle ear.
3. Use saline nasal spray as frequently as possible. This decongests the nasal mucosa and helps in easy clearance of the nasal and sinus secretions.
4. Try using steroid nasal spray. This hastens the healing process by reducing the inflammation around the Eustachian tube.
5. Avoid chilled food and beverages, smoking and coffee.

Hope with the above measures you should be alright. Revert back to me if you have any follow up queries.

Brief Answer:
Humming noise varies with the change of pressure in the middle ear...

Detailed Answer:
Hi

Thanks for witting back

The humming noise or the tinnitus varies with the change in middle ear pressure, brought about by the Eustachian tube block. Unless the Eustachain tube doesn't open up, the middle pressure will not get relieved and thus the tinnitus. Hence, continue with the measures as I mentioned in my previous response. Also, get an audiolo
gical evalaution done to rule out any inner ear nerve injury. Hope this clarifies your doubts; wish you good health.
