Brief Answer:
Get an audiogram and consult an ENT specialist...

Detailed Answer:
Hi

Thanks for posting the query

1. The signs of ear infection are earache, with or without discharge, with or without fever, reduction of hearing and nasal block.

2. The noise in the ear could be due to presence of fluid inside the middle ear and Eustachian tube block.

3. I would suggest you to get an audiogram done followed by an ear evaluation by an apt ENT specialist.

4. Do steam inhalation and use decongestant nasal spray for a week. Drink plenty of warm water and avoid chilled food & beverages/smoking/coffee.

5. Finally, get treated for acid reflux. Presence of latter condition can worsen the ear problems.

Hope I have answered your query; I'll be available for the follow up queries.
