Suggest Treatment For Dull Pain In The Back

default
Posted on Mon, 5 Dec 2016
Question: I have a dull pain on my left side - starting in the back, below my shoulder blade and strecthing around to the torso under my chest. When clothing rubs against it it feels like a bad sunburn. No rash. More annoying pain than sharp pain.

Brief Answer:
Possible shingles.

Detailed Answer:
Hello and thanks for using HCM.

I have read your question and understand your concerns.

The typical rash of the shingles may appear several days to weeks after the onset of the pain and sensitive changes, so, in my opinion, shingles is the most probable diagnosis in your case.

Pleurisy also may be taken into consideration, but it doesn't cause normally sensitive changes on skin.

I think you should start using antiviral drugs.

If pain will exacerbate, antineuralgic drugs also are necessary ( gabapentin, amytriptiline, pregabalin etc.)

Discuss with your Doctor about these issues.

Hope you found the answer helpful.

Let me know if I can assist you further.

Greetings.
