Brief Answer:
I suggest topical treatment i.e topical clindamycin gel & topical adapalene

Detailed Answer:
Hello. Thank you for writing to us at healthcaremagic

I have taken note of your query and I have understood it.

I would suggest you to stop scrubbing and rather use a gentle cleanser for face wash e.g cetaphil cleansing lotion. Scrubbing can over dry your skin and can cause comedones to turn into inflammatory acne lesions.

A gentle cleanser won't over dry your skin and therefore you may do away with the moisturizer which in turn may be causing acne.

I would suggest you to use a topical antiacne preparation e.g clindamycin or benzoyl peroxide gel as a spot treatment only over active acne lesions during day time.

At night you may use a topical retinoid e.g adapalene gel as a thin film over the whole of acne affected area. Topical adapalene is comedolytic and therefore prevents new acne apart from treating existing ones.

Brief Answer:
Topical clindamycin and topical adapalene

Detailed Answer:
Hi. I have reviewed the images

You seem to have a moderate grade of acne i.e few inflammatory acne along with comedones/white heads.

I suggest topical clindamycin 1%gel for day time use and topical adapalene 0.1% gel for night application. Adapalene is comedplytic and therefore would help you get rid of blackheads as well.

Use these topical preparations as a thin film over the whole affected area sparing the sides of nose and the angles of mouth.

Use a gentle cleanser for face wash twice daily e.g cetaphil cleansing lotion, before applying topical gels.

I think these should be fine for you.

Avoid all cosmetics like sunscreens, moistuizers etc that you may be using. Avoid scrubbing.

Regards

Brief Answer:
It is generally advisable to avoid all cosmetics while you are having acne

Detailed Answer:
Hi.

Itching is probably because of harsh cleansing and resulting dryness

Use clindamycin only over the acne afected area.
You may use clindamcin lotion rather than gel because lotion being alcohol based would dry up within a few minutes as compared to gel which would take longer to dry.
Thereafter, if desired you may use a compact over clindamycin lotion once it dries.
If your skin feels dry you can use a non-comedogenic moisturizer (cetaphil moisturizing cream) over clindamycin lotion after a gap of a few minutes, once clindamycin is is absorbed.
However, it is generally advisable to stop everything else i.e moisturizers, sunscreens, compact etc while using acne medications

Brief Answer:
Adapalene should be avoided at angles of mouth and sides of nose

Detailed Answer:
Hi.

Adapalene is a prescription drug. It is available by various brand names only on prescription. However, you may try to find one from your local pharmacy.

I cannot prescribe brand names online. I can only give you generic names. My goal is only give you guidance in the right direction.

Use adapalene over cheeks, chin and forehead. Adapalene is effective for inflammatory acne as well as for blackheads.
You must specifically avoid using it at sides of nose and angles of mouth as it can cause dryness and irritation at these places.

You may use cetaphil moisturizing cream regularly once your acne is under control. It is non-comedogenic and suitable even on oily skin.
