Suggest Treatment For Dry Cough, Cold And Fever

Question: My daughter has dry cough, cold and fever. She avoids semi dolid and sild foods complaining of throat ache. She had fever 101 for 48 hrs at 6hrs interval before i started augspen ds.she refuses to take it and dpits it out. Consuming little medicine. Fever now come at 12 to 14 hr intervals. What do i do?

Thanks for writing to us.
Your daughter seems to have throat infection from what you described.
This could be bacterial as doctor has prescribed her antibiotics.

They are appropriate and can be given.
If she is spitting out don't worry. Try mixing it with honey to make it sweeter.
Even if small amount goes inside that should help. If she spits immediately try giving half the dose again.
It may take upto four days to see improvement.
Ensure she drinks warm liquids to soothe throat.
