Question: hii doctor...

I got bitten by a stray dog while i was on my bike. Even though my Jeans tore slightly, I cannot find any marks or even bruises over the bitten area. I washed the area with soap water and applied anti-septic lotion. But as it is a stray dog, it worries me. Please advice.

There is no need for any vaccination as there are not even scratches near bite site . So just relax there is nothing to be worried.

Regards.

Hi Doctor. Yesterday night I consulted a doctor at the near by hospital. After check up near the bite area he said the same thing as you said :) But seeing my anxiety he asked me to take a 3 dose Rabies vaccine. (Rabipur). And he administered the first dose yesterday night. and further doses on 3rd and then the 7th day.
Another question that I have is, as the vaccine has inactivated/weakened virus, will this be transmitted to non-immunized person through sex or any form considering the chances of the other person having a weak immunity.

NO it won't happen

NO transmission occurs from a person who gets a vaccine to other persons by any route.

So relax.
