Brief Answer:
Acute Labyrinthitis due to virus infection

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thanks for your question on HCM

I do understand your concern

With such a presentation in my clinic, I would first ruled out acute labyrinthitis by doing a physical examination only and if confirmed treatment will be OTC antihistamines like [fexofenadine]and for dizziness [meclizine] can be tried and this is a prescription medication. If bacterial infection suspected a course of antibiotic should be tried. You can use any OTC nasal drops or sprays to clear nasal passages.

Do few things at home :

1)Try to avoid quick change of position

2)Get up slowly from sitting position

3)Try to avoid television, computer screens, and bright or flashing lights during a vertigo attack.

4)Cover your head in a scarp when you go outside or in driving

Hope that helps and nothing to be worried at all
