Suggest Treatment For Dizziness, Fatigue And Headaches

default
Posted on Mon, 1 Dec 2014
Question: Hello,

This is my situation.

I had extreme dizziness past month after a stressful situation (working several days before a deadline and not sleeping at night). My blood pressure dropped several times after that and I felt faint and extreme tiredness and fatigue and headache for two weeks. (I rested completely several weeks at home and now after one month I feel much better and symptoms are gone 70%). also, now I found that my right side of body is colder than the left side.

My History:
I had history of fainting and dropping blood pressure in stressful situations (like flu shots) and fasting. 5 years ago I had extreme blood pressure dropping at night and shortness in breath. I checked with a doctor and they said it is stress.

however, 8 months ago I has a extreme attack that was result of this problem and dehydration and I went to ER with ambulance (Also dropping heart rate less than 40). Then I had a full checking on my heart (Exercise test and Echo) and my heart was completely healthy. My cardiologist doctor contributed my situation to stress.

After my problem 1 month ago (explained in the first paragraph). They I checked again with my cardiologist 2 week ago and he check my EKG and My doctor said my heart is healthy and asked me to check my blood this week.

The problem is that I do not know what is the cause of this problem. I have these questions and appreciate to receive answers and suggestions.

Should I check with a neurologist? Could Anemia be my problem? or deficiency of B12? Or a nerve system problem? what else I should check or action should I take?

Thank you so much for your suggestions.

Brief Answer:
Need evaluation by neurologist

Detailed Answer:
Dear
I am sorry for the symptoms you are suffering
I carefully read your progression symptoms and it is releasing that all cardiac check ups are ok
In my opinion it will be difficult to determinate the diagnose or the right examinations to do without be checked from a neurologist
Neurologic exam will give information about the topic suffering and determinate the needed examinations to find the diagnose
It may be B12 deficiency and it has clinical symptoms which are seen by neurologist on examination ( such as posterior cordons syndrome)
In my opinion a brain MRI and an EEG need to be scheduled
A cardiac holter is needed to understand what happens with your cardiac rhythm during night
Do thyroid hormone (blood test such as TSH, T3, T4)
Advice your neurologist during examination about ruling out sleep apnea
Please schedule a neurologic exam, do the examinations I asked and upload those
In the meantime avoid caffein and energy drinks
I will be glad to see those result and make the diagnose
Hope my answer will help you and lead to the right diagnose
Stay healthy
Best regards
