Question: My husband has been experiencing episodes of light headedness, dizziness, and blurred vision when he starts to exert himself. He can feel the onset of the symptoms and when he slows down he can prevent the episode from continuing .

This could be something simple like anemia or something very serious like blockages in the heart. Call the doctor's office and if there is not a simple explanation like anemia then he needs a full workup on his heart immediately. He would need to have an electrocardiogram and stress test on the heart. Sometimes people with blockages in the heart do not get chest pain they just get short of breath or light headed. If he ever has an episode that does not resolve with rest then he should go immediately to emergency.
