Suggest Treatment For Dizziness And Vertigo

default
Posted on Fri, 12 Aug 2016
Question: I am experiencing dizziness for the first time! The whole seemed to have been spinning round and round me when I tried to turn off my reading lamp last night. Previous to that I have been feeling dizzy so I just close my eyes, sit or lie still and soon it passes! I've also been experiencing skin rash/hives in the joints (opposite side of my elbow) on both arms for the last two days. It has been itching a lot. I've put melaleuca & lavendar essential oils alternately to control the itching! I have been under tremendous unusual stress lately where I had been caring for a grandson who's been recovering from extremely painful knee surgery & I had to evict my tenants this past Monday after 4 months of stress over their issues & not abiding by the Rental Agreement. Can you help me? I was talking to my Nutritionist but she's now busy w/ customers/patients so I'm looking up Vertigo, since I had a Godmother who suffered from it and little familiar w/ this condition.

Brief Answer:
Oscillations in blood pressure/sugar levels/spondyloarthrosis...

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I have gone through your medical history carefully and understood your concerns.

1. Vertigo episode you had when you tried to turn off your reading lamp last night could be due to:
- oscillations in blood pressure (taking into account your personal history of going through a stressful situation recently)
- spondyloarthrosis
- oscillations in blood sugar levels especially if you have not got time to eat and skipped the meals recently

I advise to monitor:
- blood pressure (bp)
- blood sugar levels (bsl)

can go to your local drug store and ask to get them measured there
After getting the results, record them to pass to your doctor.

2. With regards to itching you are having in your joints, can you please provide a photo to have a look at the rash myself?
Do you remember of any insect bite recently?
Any new medication tried?
Or any new detergent?
Any personal history of arthritis?

If no other health problem, then, the rash could be related to stress you are having recently. However, we should exclude other causes first.
Looking forward to have the requested info and photo for a more specific opinion.
