Question: I have a bad back that has a lot of arthritis. My doctor did an MRI in 2014 and found this. I have pain in my legs that is weird I also have the denegitive disk disease where my sianca nerve is unbearable at times, My PA told me last week that the only way I can get relief is surgery. He said I might go to get up one day and just hit the floor. My legs hurt at the beginning of legs that come out of the hip.

Brief Answer:
Surery is best option.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
It seems that you have a severe degenerative disc disease that is causing nerve root compression. This is an age related degenerative process that gradually keeps on increasing.
A severe nerve root compression can later cause muscle weakness. You are already taking pain killers, steroid injections and physical therapy. It is best to get the timely surgery done to get rid of further pain.
I hope this answers your query.
In case you have additional questions or doubts, you can forward them to me, and I shall be glad to help you out.
Wishing you good health.
