Brief Answer:
Get done PFT.

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for your question on Health Care Magic.
I can understand your concern.
In my opinion, you should first get done PFT (Pulmonary Function Test).
This will tell you if you have obstruction in respiration due to epiglottis pathology or not.
If PFT is normal then no need to worry much.
Consult ENT doctor and get done direct examination of epiglottis.
Sometimes edema of epiglottis can cause similar symptoms. And edema is common after injury. So if edema is there on direct visualization than you need antihistamine, anti inflammatory and oral steroid drugs.
Don't worry, you will be alright.
Hope I have solved your query.
I will be happy to help you further.
Wish you good health. Thanks.

thank you yes I am working on it I have recently lost 50lbs. I overcame anxiety (or thought I did) several months ago. I'm trying to pinpoint what is causing the anxiety this week. I have returned to my terrible habit of very little sleep. I'm scared of not waking up

Brief Answer:
Better to consult psychiatrist.

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for your follow up question on HCM.
I can understand your concern.
You are having relapse. And it is common in psychiatric illnesses.
So in my opinion, you should consult psychiatrist and get done counseling sessions.
Try to identify stressor in your life and start working on its solution.
You may need anxiolytic drugs too.
Counseling is very important part in treatment. Drugs are also effective if counselling is proper.
So consult psychiatrist and discuss all these.
Don't worry, you will be alright.
I think over weight is the stressor in you.
Because in young females weight is very important issue.
Is it so?
Please reply me answer of above asked question, so that I can guide you better.
