Brief Answer:
You may need antibiotic to control the lose motions

Detailed Answer:
Hi & Welcome.
I can understand your problem.

Eldopar (Loperamide) is an opioid drug which is effective in controlling the lose motions. However, it should not be used if lose motions are due to infection caused by bacteria or protozoa like E. histolytica.

Kindly providing the following details:

1. How often you are getting the lose motions?
2. What is the consistency of the stools, any blood in the stools?
3. Do you have any associated cramps, abdominal distension?
4. Did you take food from the restaurants or hotels?
5. Is any other family member suffering from similar problem?

Awaiting your reply so as to analyze your condition in a better way to suggest the treatment.
Meanwhile take plenty of oral fluids, juices, yoghurt/curd or butter milk.

Best regards.

Suggestive of infective diarrhea.

Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXXXXX XXXXXXX Hi
Good morning.
Thanks for your reply, noted the contents..

You need to take a combination of antibiotics Oflaxacin & Ornidazole which is commonly used and effective in the treatment of loose motions due to infection caused by bacteria and protozoa like amoeba.
This combination is available in the form of Tab O2 which should be taken two times daily for 5 days.
Along with the antibiotics, probiotics (Bifilac sachet) which reduce the frequency of loose motions and Oral Rehydration Therapy (ORS) powder like Cetral-B or Electral to correct the dehydration due to loose motions.

Besides, take plenty of oral fluids, juices, butter milk, soft diet (like curd rice), avoid taking outside food.

Hope the suggestions would be useful.
