Suggest Treatment For Diarrhea After Antibiotic Intake
Question: Hi,
I have gastric problems. Done Endoscopy last weekend.
I result shows Like everything normal .
O-G junction - 40 cm
and Biopsy -h pylori - positive.
impression- hiatus hernia .
Doctor give 10 day antibiotic kit. After medicine started , i am suffering from diarrhea.
Can i continue same medicine?

Thanks for the query.
I have read your query and understand your concern.
Diarrhoea is very common complaint after taking kit for the H.PYLORI eradication because of the presence of antibiotics in it.
You must make sure that the course is completed because a suspended course won't cure you. Normally this diarrhoea is not very troublesome. You may add a probiotic like VIZYLAC or DAROLAC to your treatment regime.It would help in reducing the number of diarrhoea episodes.
You can continue the same medicines.

Hello,
You have hiatus hernia which is a protrusion of upper part of stomach into thorax through a tear or weakness in diaphragm.
Infection with H PYLORI is the cause for most stomach and duodenal ulcers.
In some cases it is responsible for non ulcer dyspepsia also.
There is no seriousness with H.PYLORI infection except the fact that long term infection with H pylori increases the risk of developing stomach cancer.
