Suggest Treatment For Diabetes

Question: I am asking this question for my husband, who is 29 years old. Due to obesity(BMI value is higher) we have done a medical check up for diabetes recently. The result is as follows Fasting blood sugar(FBS) - 163 Post Prandial Blood Sugar - 209 Please advise as with the diets to follow for if any medications needed. I have read that Keto diet(low carbonate diet) is good for diabetes. If it is good will it effect the cholesterol level?

Brief Answer: Start metformin. Detailed Answer: dear ma'm , hi! it is definitely clear that he has diabetes. he needs to be on metformin 500 mg twice a day, after breakfast and after dinner. he needs to avoid sweets absolutely and fried food. regular exercise is a must. regards
