Brief Answer:
Diabetes

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for contacting HCM with your health care concerns

You have diabetes and you are wondering when you should take your medications. The timing of your medications depend on the type of medication and the time of your main meal. If you are taking Metformin then you should take it twice daily morning and evening and your meal time will not matter. If you are taking glipizide or similar drug then you should take the second dose with your afternoon main meal. If you take it without eating you could develop hypoglycemia.

I take 1000mg Metformin and 4mg Glimeripride mornings and nightimes. My glucose readings rarely go below the mid 140s.

Brief Answer:
Diabetes control

Detailed Answer:
As long as you are not having any low blood sugars you can continue to use your medication twice daily without regard to meal time. But if you start to have episodes of hypoglycemia then you need to switch the glimeripride to your afternoon meal.
