Brief Answer:
It is depression

Detailed Answer:
Hi, thanks for writing through HCM.

I have read your query and understood your concerns.

Stress makes a person to lose focus on a goal. When a person fails to achieve something that he wanted desperately, he loses his self esteem. After which the flow of lack of motivation and concentration emerges and person becomes frustrated and depressed. Same has happened to you.

In my opinion, you need to visit a psychiatrist and stress management specialist or you can ask your psychiatrist about how to cope with stress? You shall be al-right, what you need to do is to take antidepressant drugs along with stress management sessions.

If you were my patient then I would have given you lexapro 10 mg at night along with some anxiolytics. I would also have referred you to a stress management specialist or psychotherapist, so that you can learn how to cope with this situation.

Keep reading inspirational literature, do exercise in morning for at least 30 minutes, talk to family members and friends. With all these treatment you shall find benefit within next one month. Once your frustration and depression improves, you shall find your confidence back and your performance at job will improve.

Be optimistic and believe in god.

Hope I have answered your query. If you have further query then I shall be happy to help.
Wish you good health.

Brief Answer:
Scheduling the activities will help

Detailed Answer:
Hi, thanks for writing again.

I want to ask few questions:
1. Do you feel that the co-workers or authority figures are against you? Are they bullying you? Do you have any abnormal behavior in your personality like remaining alone, lack interaction, Typical studious look and anxious personality etc.?

2. Are you a perfectionist? DO you feel anxiety when your schedule is messed up? Do you become irritable when your belongings are touched by other persons or placed by them at other places? Do you feel that everything should be in order and when that order is disturbed, you became irritable and anxious?

I feel that your behavior would be the cause of your current situation at work place, depression and frustration. It can also explain the lack of motivation, distractibility, poor concentration. Your mind is getting diverted to other non-important tasks, so you are not able to give 100% of your ability to your work. You must be repeatedly scolded by your authority figures.

Actually for this behavior, as you named it 'procrastination', there are many causes:
1. Anxiety
2. Avoidance behavior
3. Impulsiveness
4. Perfectionist [egodystonic, maladaptive perfectionist]

I am suggesting you to go through following documents:
1.http://www.cci.health.wa.gov.au/docs/Procrastination%20Module%201_Understanding%20Part%201.pdf
2. http://www.cci.health.wa.gov.au/resources/infopax.cfm?Info_ID=50
3. http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC0000/

The first link provides all information regarding procrastination and methods to tackle it. You must read all the documents. It will help you. Read about the theories behind procrastination and find out on your own, what is missing and maladaptive in your behavior.

Cognitive behavior therapy is the best psychotherapeutic management for it. I feel that you can improve completely by modifying your behavior and improving your management skills. Drugs can help you to come out from frustration and depression but they do not required for long time. Search for a psychotherapist in your city and make a visit.

I have tried my best to help with this limited chat but you can help yourself by visiting a professional in person.

Hope I have answered your query. If you do not have nay further query then close the discussion and rate the answer.
Wish you good health.
