Question: my boyfriend is going through a divorce and his doctor thought he needed a antidepressant. about a month ago he started citalopram. before he showed no signs of depression but for the passed few days he is so low he cries all the time and is unable to go to work.. HELP please im scared. YYYY@YYYY

Since he is suffering from stressful period obviously he can land into depression. This is what has happened to him.
I would advise you to let him continue on Citalopram for a while.
What he needs at this time the most is you and your support.
Give him that. Let him cry, listen to him calmly. He may admit his faults and also his love for his ex
You don't have to get hyper and upset. Support him. Convince him that he is right. Make sure he speaks his heart to someone to avoid suicidal tendencies.
