Question: I am 70 W. had MI 2 years ago with a stent placed. My husband passed away 1 1/2 years ago I had knee replacement 8 months ago. Since my husband's death I have been depressed spend many days not getting OOB. I do see psychiatrist and am on a combination of antidepressants. In the last 2-3 months I have become more active nd feel like depression is resolved. Since I have been inactive for quite awhile I am slowly getting my strength back, however when doing housework or shopping I get very hot, quickly and sweat profusely then get nausea and sometimes vomit. All of this resolves when I stop and sit down. I do take synthroid and last blood work WNL. I have always been heat intolerant but the nausea and vomiting is new. Can you tell me what is causing this

Brief Answer:
Possible pathologies;

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I have gone carefully through your concern.
The symptoms you described are suggestive for different pathologies such as ; orthostatic hypotension, electrolite disturbances, panick attack, generalized anxiety disorder ect.
A detailed physical examination and some blood tests would be of help. If everything comes back normal than your treating physician will think about panick attack or anxiety even though you are being treated with antidepressants.
Hope the information will help.
Kind regards,
Dr.Mirjeta
