Detailed evaluation

Detailed Answer:
Thanks very much for your question.

Depression and anxiety are both effectively treated with antidepressant medications.

All medications have side effects, but the class of antidepressants with the fewest side effects on average are the SSRI class. These include ZOLOFT and LEXAPRO , which are two of my go-to medications to treat depression and anxiety. These medications will improve your mood, memory, and concentration, and improve your clarity.

Brief Answer:
IQ is subjective to Mental Illness

Detailed Answer:
You're very welcome!

The answer to that question can be complicated. Typically, if you have only had one major depressive episode, an antidepressant trial can be stopped after 1 year. However, after 2 or more episodes, lifelong treatment with an antidepressant may be indicated to prevent more depressive episodes.

IQ can be affected by depression. People who are depressed can score significantly lower on IQ tests. This will improve when depression is treated.
