default
Posted on Sat, 11 Jun 2016
Question: I have a "cyst or boil like" growth on the inside of my right, I think it's called a labia...it is very large and hurts.

My barthalin (sp) glands were removed years ago.

Brief Answer:
follicular abscess.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for the query to hcm,
The most common cause of such cystic vulval swelling generally remains bartholin cysts but as you say that they have been removed already, which is unusual actually, then the boil in vulva which is painful is likely to be a follicular abscess lesion which is likely to be filled with pus and would have to be incised and drained for relief and treatment under antibiotic cover.
Please visit your gynecologist for a local examination and further surgical management. however you may send a picture of the lesion attached to actually confirm the diagnosis.
