Question: hi my name is XXXX and i'm 24 yo
i have this really embarrassing problem
i always get a cyst growing in my private area
and blowup drained them self in a week or tow

and this time the cyst grow in a really uncomfortable place
where it where it kept chafing and bruising when i walked
so it bleed a and the only thing I had to put on it was cotton balls so
i did that about for 4 weeks
and the pus has drained clean
but now it looks like a big sac hanging on top of the skin with the cotton stuck on it
and its kind of solid when i try to squeeze it and
its still chafing and bleeding when i walk

my question is how can i remove it at home?
and i was thinking about tying the skin where it's hanging from so it will dry or something because i tried to pool it and looks like it's hanging from a little bit of skin
but I'm afraid that it'll grow bigger or worse
so i would really appreciate an answer to my questions
and not go see a doctor
thanks in advance XXXX

Brief Answer:
Tying thin nylon thread can be tried.

Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Thanks for your query and the picture you have posted.
I can understand the plight you must be going through with such a bleeding lesion at the private part.

This appears to be an infected papiloma with granulomatous transformation hence bleeding.

The picture you have provided shows a nice stalk which you can try to tie with a thin nylon thread, but it has to be tied with sufficient tightening that the arterial blood supply is cut off, then only it will fall of. Otherwise it is not effective.
This may or may not be effective. The stalk looks a bit big for this.
Apply liquid Povidone Iodine to the whole area to kill the skin bacteria.

I was just wondering about what may be your reason not to visit the Lady Surgeon. This will help to get a proper diagnosis, to get a very small surgery done under local anesthesia (no pain), no bleeding, clean dressings and most important part is that the lump will be sent for histo-pathology examination (HPE) to know the exact diagnosis.

This is the preferred method.

I hope this answer helps you to get a proper diagnosis, and get a proper further treatment. Please feel free to ask for more if you need to or if you feel that there is a gap of communication.
