Detailed Answer:
Dear Friend,
Thanks for using Healthcaremagic.
I read your query and understand your concerns.
I think the progress over the last week with neosporin is good one and you need to continue it for next oner week so the second cut gets healed adequately.
In addition avoid sex/masturbation for few days till the healing is complete.
I hope this helps you.
If you have more questions feel free to write back to me.
Thanks and regards.

Can you please tell me why this happened? This is the first time happening to me and frankly I am very concerned. Also, is this common for males?
Brief Answer:
It is not common but still occurs
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for reverting back to me.
I see atleast 5-10 males with similar injury every month out of 300-500 males which I see for sexual problems in a month. it can be said that it is not common among experienced men but commonly occurs in young men during first intercourse or at least in first five years.
Most of the time the reason for injury is insufficient lubrication of vagina or ill fitting condoms.
Having said this I like to inform you that it is not a major problem and unlikely to recur on next occasion.
I hope this helps you further.
If you have any further query, I would be glad to help you.
If not, you may close the discussion and if possible you may rate the answer for my future patients.
