default
Posted on Sat, 25 Feb 2017
Question: I cut my index finger on a table saw. I peeled the skin back all along the bottom half of the finger. No nerv damage. It's healing up fine except for at the end of the finger the skin that was stitched back on is white in color & hard to the touch. Will that skin need to be taken off ? Will it peal/flake off ?
Thanks for any help with place

Brief Answer:
It will peal off

Detailed Answer:
Hi and welcome.
Yes,it will peal off spontaneously and there is no need for additional intervention or to remove it by yourself . You should just keep the wound clean. You can soak your finger in warm soapy water for 15 minutes faily and then it will soften and peal off sooner. Wish you good health. Regards
