Brief Answer:
hand foot mouth disease may affect the adults too

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

hand-foot-mouth disease may affect the adults too, although this is considered to be a disease of the young children (under 10 years of age). What's strange in your case is that the lesions usually start from the extremities (hands and feet). Involvement of the trunk is not common. Perhaps another cause has to be considered. I could not offer any diagnosis based on skin lesion description only. I can only confirm that this disease may indeed affect the adults but the pattern of the lesions does not match...

I hope you find my comments helpful!
