Question: hi can I give ambril plus to 7 month pregnant woman for cough. she has fever which is okay now. but cough is still there.

Ambril plus contains ambroxol and levosalbutamol.

There is no clear evidence of safety of this syrup in pregnancy. But as your wife is approaching third trimester, avoid it as far as possible. Give it only if its absolutely necessary.

However, prefer doing hot water gargles, drinking a glass of hot milk.

You can also apply vicks on chest and throat.

she took one dose in the afternoon. hope it will not cause any issue. also can we give any other cough syrup. may b honey touch
