Question: hi Doc,

My son is suffering from cough and cold. he is sneezing a lot with running nose.

can you please prescribe me a medicine and the quantity of intake.
his weight is 7 kgs.

Majority of the Respiratory tract infection in children are self limiting.
I would suggest you the following
1. Nasoclear Nasal drops : 2 drops in each nostril instilled four times a day
2. Continue breastfeeding and supplement diet
3. Keep baby warm
4. Cetrizine Oral drops (Zyrtec) 1.5 mg twice a day

Timinic drops not recommended

Hi

Timinic drop contains Phenylephrine. It is not recommended for babies under 2 years if age

Microcef is antibiotic and is also not recommended in simple respiratory infection.

Such dropping of saliva is normal from babies. During their development hey usually tend to droll saliva , put fingers in mouth, take their feet to mouth. It is completely normal and does not require any medication.
I hope you have already started the baby on Vitamin D 3 drops
