Brief Answer:
Cardiac medicine could be one cause

Detailed Answer:
Hello ma'am

I understand your concern for your husbands health, am Dr Bhanu Partap and I practice cardiology. Here I will try to explain you the possible cause of his problem and advise.

When a patient receives a stent he or she is started on some important cardiac medicines like BLOOD THINNERS ( e.g. Brilinta, Clopidogrel, Aspirin) which helps prevent blood clot inside the stent and keep them patent, ACE INHIBITORS like Ramipril, Lisinopril which helps in cardiac remodelling and maintains cardiac function and also keep blood pressure under control, STATINS to keep cholesterol levels under control.

As your husband is on Brilinta which is an excellent drug but also do have side effects important one include breathing difficulties in the form of shortness of breath cough wheezes.

Another drug like ace inhibitors also cause cough in some patients.

Now my advise is as he has undergone stenting just few days back so wait for few more days as these effects sometimes settle down by their own, but if it doesn't or if it gets worse then it's advisable to consult your cardiologist personally and discuss options of switching to different drugs.

I hope This information will answer your query and guide you on a right path. If you have any other doubts you can ask me back or else you can close the discussion and kindly rate the answer.

I wish him good health
