Question: My friend is on tour in China. Came down with a really bad cough and flu like symptoms he took a z pack with him however the cough has been so bad he is up all night . Visited a dr who gave him "codeine tablets 30mg"
for his cough. Should he take this medication ...he is 79 years old. ??? YYYY@YYYY

In fact he should take over the counter cough syrup with Dextromethorphan.
Warm water helps relief of cough and stop throat irritation
