Question: I have only been having a bowel movement every four or five days, it will be accompanied by lower intensional cramps and very loose stole. In between days will consist of a white mucus discharge only. This has been occurring for approximately one month. I also feel continued pressure on my rectum as if I need to use the bathroom.

Brief Answer:
O.D.S. obstuctive defecation syndrome, anorectal Manometry, colonic transit

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Your constipation should have a reason. If it is the slow transit, you need a colonic transit time study.
If it is outlet obstruction then Ano-Rectal Manometry will diagnose it.
You may also need a colonoscopy to rule out any lump or diverticular disease.
once the diagnosis is done then it is easy to suggest treatment options.
This is broadly called O.D.S.(Obstructive defecation syndrome) you can google further info.
I can help you only when I examine you.
