Suggest Treatment For Constant Burnt Feeling On Tongue

default
Posted on Sat, 4 Jun 2016
Question: For the past couple of days, my tongue has been feeling a little weird. Only when I drink water however. It feels a little like I've burned it (not accurate). Other words to describe... let's see. Crisp? VERY mild burn. Acidic. Numb. All very light, but enough to make it feel "weird".

Tap water, bottled water, XXXXXXX warm, room temperature and cold water all have the same effect. Foods and other beverages taste fine. I do not smoke, I am not dehydrated (always have water on me). I'm healthy, 5'8 and weigh around 155. Please advise.

Brief Answer:
Did you take any hot food or beverages recently?

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you so much for this query.

I am so sorry to hear about this weird feeling. This is often typical when we sustain a burn even from foods that we least suspect. If you have consumed any warm/hot dishes recently, I suspect this is the main cause. I will suggest that you stay calm as this generally resolves within 7-10days as the burned cells are slowly replaced.

I hope this helps. I wish you well. Feel free to ask for more information and clarifications if need be. Above all, thanks for using our services.

Brief Answer:
Monitro only for now!

Detailed Answer:
HI,

I will suggest that you monitor only at this time. It will slowly recover but am tempted to think something must have caused this. Let me know how this progresses.

I wish you well and keep me updated!
