Suggest Treatment For Cold Sweat, Dizziness And Nausea

Question: Hello,

I need a doctor who can figure out if I have Dysautnomia.

I have been getting the best advise from Healthcare magic doctor's advise, but my treating doctors somehow couldn't catch up with my new symptoms and keep me in a better health. I am hitting the bottom.

I cannot do daily chores with cold sweat, dizzy spell, occasional nausea, and daily headach (bad one last for a couple of days, but sometimes it goes away and keep coming back more than once in a day) body pain, and eye pain that feels like buring. My fatigue is getting worse aftet a little house chores. Currently I cannot do my work duty because of this symptoms. In past three months, I have developped many other synmptoms such as chest pain that mimics unstable angina, I cannot eat like I used to because I always feel full, cold sweat each time after eating or all of sudden with feeling of pressure entire body when I stand up and do house chores, and even when i am simply sitting). I have occasional bruises from no injury on my arms and legs. My short of breath, ear pain, pressure in my neck and head, pins and needle pain along with bad back and neck pain, joint pain especially my knee, toes, ancles, fingers, disturbs to grab even small object, i want to wear my compression underwaer for my legs and arms, but I cannot even pull them up to wear them today.

My rheumatology blood test came out negative, chresterol blood test is whithen a fine range LDL has been higher than before, but still nromal. my Thytoid blod test was negative, my nuclear careiac stress test didn't find illness, my chest x-ray doesn't show sign of illness, my back x-ray seems to be normal just a minor curve on the bottom of my back, one thing is they found nad constipation with the x-ray. I don't feel that I am constipated, and I do have bowel movement at least once a week, well I can say it is iregular, but doesn't feel intestinal pain.

My vitamin D was low in December, that was only abnormal so far. This is my second time in a year, last vitamin D therapy was done in August, I am on my vitamin D therapy again.

Since I am age 51, my PCP told me last week, my menopausal symptoms should be blamed, my chest pain woupd be from GERD, my pain in front and side of my throat woud be muscle pain. I don't know if muscle pain like that stays over 6 months. I also feel lymph gland under my ear getting harden in the afternoon to evening daily with pressure. He thinks I don't have swollen lymph. He told me to take calcium and Estroven, he increased the dose of protonix to 40mg, gave me comparession under wear for my elbows and legs. I have just started all of them a week ago. I am not fully convinced with his diagnosis, because my grandmother and mother didn't have this much problem with menopause. I cannot feel this is all from menopausal transition.

I am struggling this disturbing daily symptoms listed above, and they are getting worse.

It all started in last winter suddenly from contenious bed bug bites/allergy, other Emvironmental (dust mites, cats, cockloaches, rag weed, box elder tree with no sinus symptoms) and vinyl allergies, sensitivity of medications, Cellulitis (after bed bug bites, also idiopathic) chronic urticaria (idiopathic), GERD, Arthralgia, all have been pilling up in past year. Additionally, my blood pressuer has been elevated over 140/80 at doctros appointment, but when i take BP at home, it is always low as usual, most of the time i have lower than 100/60. I have had low blood pressure until last year entire my life.

Now my body is totally messed up in my impression. I was the healthiest 50 years old Japanese woman with fit body and mind, working great and had a happy living before this course of symptoms started. No major hystory of illness in my life.

In past year I have been diagnosed and treated with Zyrtec for my allergies, Protonix and Zantac for my GERD, Famotidine for my chronic urticaria, Naproxen, Ibprofen, Tylenol, and Asprine for my pain, Zofran for my nausea, Keflex (for numerous bed bug bites cellulitis between december to June) Rocephin injection for my Cellulitis (I had a sever ear and arm Cellilitis (i got bed bug reaction) in last XXXXXXX with sever headache).

Pradnisone was started last year in January right after my first sets of bed bug bites/cellilitis, but i had to stop it on my 5th day, because of bad side effects. No liver or kidney damage though. I started 60mg, but a couple of doctor i saw told me the dose was too high and the high dose gave me a bad side effect.

I feel like all medication was failing. Also my body is broken down, especially the last nes bug bites in late August.

Again, currently my significant problem is pain in many parts of my body. Constant pain, stubbing pain, sharp pain, pins and kneedles, dull pain, occasional upper stomach pain. My chest pain feels like all day pressure of my chest and neck, and head (with or without headache), my skull even have occasional kneedle pain. My body is constatly stiffen, at this point, with or without exercise. I do try stretch, warm bath, good diet, relaxation, try myself to get up and do something, but always end up with crashing fatiged body. It has been more than three months with this condition grqdually developped and i cannot twke this any longer. I feel it is bad in the morning when I get up, symotoms is lighter between 11am-2pm, but starts again after 2pm, my worst time is after 8pm, in the evening, whole body feels like exploding with pressuer and my inner eyes feels painful and buring and cannot lay down on my back, laying down on my stomach, and constantly changing the position over night. When i fall in asleep, pins and kneedle pain and pressure pain wakes me up. I had low grede fever a several times in past year. I recently found some reading of Dysautonomia. I feel like I am having Dysautonomia, do you think I have it?

I have not discussed with my PCP about dysautonomia yet because he is on his vacation.

My treating doctor is sending me to physical therapy, and I am only taking vitamin D, Protonix, Naproxen, Aspirin, Zantac, and Estroven. My chronic urticaria subsided after I stopped working, so I am not taking Famotidine somce last month. My ear is watery sometimes, but i feel pain all day but no a major discharge, I have a ringing ear occasionally.

I am very tired of this symptoms and my broken body. I need help.

Thank you,

Toyoko XXXXXXX

Brief Answer:
Possible Dysautonomia.

Detailed Answer:
Hi Mam.

I understand your query and concern.

As per your entire history down the line, they possibly suggest chronic autonomic insufficiency which is otherwise known as Dysautonomia.

I would agree with this diagnosis considering the combination of physical, physiological and psychological aspects of the disease which is currently experienced by you.

The management is largely multifactorial and holistic.

Diagnosis is made with systemic review with each and every major organ system.

Tilt table testing can provide clue to cardiovascular instability

Kindly post your further queries

Thank you.

Also discuss the following with your PCP.

Detailed Answer:
Hi Mam.

I understand your concern.

I would like to guide your further through the following info/investigations helpful in rightly diagnosing Dysautonomia.

1.Oral Glucose tolerance test.
2.Basal Plasma Norepinephrine levels prior to and after Tilt table testing.
3.Complete CSF examination.
4.SPECT and PET scan -specifically for identifying Cardiac sympathetic dysfunction.
5.Cardiac response to Valsalva Maneuver.
6.QSART -for thermoregulatory pathway.

All the above tests are available at all sophisticated neurocardiac centers.
