Suggest Treatment For Cold And Nasal Congestion With Burning Sensation In Nostrils

Question: I have cold. My nose gets blocked in sleeping posture. While sitting or walking I Can breath easily from both nostrils. Were as I have burning sensation in both nostrils.

Please advise good medicine. My age is 25.

Thanks for the query.

I have read your query and understand your concern.

As per your clinical history it appears that you are most probably having Rhinitis with nose congestion & post nasal drip (PND). In sleeping posture , post nasal drip get collected into naso-pharynx causing blockage .

If I were your treating doctor , I would advice
Steam Inhalation twice daily,
Saline nasal rinse thrice daily ,
Antihistaminic Tab Claritin,
Antibiotic Tab azithromycin once daily &
anti inflammatory Tab Ibuprofen400 thrice daily .

You will need to see your doctor to get a prescription of azithromycin. Others are often available over the counter.

You will get relief .
