Question: Hi Doctor,
My kid is 4.8 yrs old and gets cold and cough very often.
Initially we have consulted one doctor and he has suggested budecort 200 inhaler, Asthalin syrup, lekope m kid. whenever she gets cold and cough we used to give these medicines. She used to recover in 3 to 4 days. We are following these medicines only from past 1 year.
From past 3 days my kid is having cold and cough. She is getting cough in the night times heavily. So, we have consulted another doctor in XXXXXXX and he has suggested following medicines
Gesicare-d3, montair lc kid, seroflo inhaler 125, ascoril ls 100ml.

Can I give these medicines to my kid? any side effects of these medicines.
Could you please suggest which medicines can I give to her?

Thanks,

Hi,

Thanks for your question.

I do understand your pain and discomfort.

As per your history is concerned you can give these medications as prescribed by your doctor and no side effects is there. These are used for cough and cold. But never repeat it again and again without consulting with your doctor. As he has frequent problems so do one full blood count with differential and add a multivitamin regularly as syrup.

I hope I was able to address your query. If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to write to me.

Wishing you all the best.

Thanks
