Suggest Treatment For Chronic Sore Throat

Question: I have been sick for 8 months sore throat have had pneumonia a few times in and out of emergency cant breath lots of phlegm and also dry cough . Tired no energy . I have had a few different inhalers several antibiotics some work for a few days then sick again have taken prednisone . Nothing showed up in lung x-rays or blood test . Bloated and have heart burn. Almost pass out when I cough . I have lost a few pounds nothing much but stomach look fat

I can understand your concern

If you were my patient according to the history and given the fact that the tersts that you have already done have shown nothing, the next step for better examination of your lungs that i would recommend you is to do other important tests as follow:

Spirometry
Chest CT
ECG
Explorative Fibrobronchoscopy

I am sure that they will provide us a very useful information about your lungs and your airways to find the cause of this situation.

If they come negative than the lungs are excluded .

And probably the stomach problems (like reflux) are disturbing you for a such a long time.

Please discuss for the above with your doctor.
