Question: I.have chronic myeloid leukemia with the XXXXXXX chromosome and take Sprycel, which is a tyrosine kinase inhibitor. I want to purchase a brain enhancer.thst contains Tyrosine -l. Will.this affect my medication and or.inflame my cancer.

I read your question and i understand your concern. I am sorry to hear you have CMl, but good news is that with recent advancements its very easily manageable and sent into remission. Sprycel ( desatinib) is good tyrosine kinase inhibitor.

The brain booster medication has tyrosine in it, that is mere an amino acid and should not affect the tyrosine kinase inhibition. However that booster should be evaluated for its efficacy and safety profile on its own by your doctor and once recommended by him only then should be used.
